It seems that the victim wasn't the only one to lose his head, but the entire justice system (if it can even be called that) has completely lost its collective mind.
The actual crime occurred several years ago in Manitoba - it made global headlines for its shocking brutality.
For some, the story of Vince Li — who killed a fellow passenger on a Greyhound bus in 2008 but was found not criminally responsible — ended when he was given an absolute discharge Friday.
Not so for Kayli Shaw, who was one of the passengers on the bus when Tim McLean was beheaded.
In a statement emailed to CBC Sunday, Shaw said she's afraid Li, whose name is now Will Baker, could stop taking medication for the schizophrenia that led to the fatal incident.
Vince Li, now Will Baker, is not a Canadian Citizen. He was born in China, and at the time he committed this brutal assault, he was in Canada on a Temporary Work Permit - even though he was unemployed at the time...
Simple question: Why is he still here? Send him back to China - I am sure he has a better chance of finding justice there than here.
Also, how can someone who committed a brutal act be allowed to change their name?
As it often happens, the victim is hardly mentioned in the news coverage. Tim McLean is his name. He was asleep when the attack began.

The Left sows chaos and disorder to straighten the path for totalitarianism. I would pick on Canadian civil liberty but we just let a brain donor steal an election. And hanged nobody.

Crime victims don't count.
To my acquaintances enamored of uncontrolled immigration into the United States, the people harmed by uncontrolled immigration (victims of crime, people displaced from jobs and apartments, school students deprived of educational resources, community members deprived of community services, etc.) don't even enter their thoughts. They are invisible. So only the people breaking the law get sympathy.

Or at least a more culturally appropriate main course.

Not just a cannibal, but because the entire attack took place in a bus seat - it was sushi style cannibalism...

I remember reading about the attack when it happened, it kind of hit close to home to me as I would frequently take the Greyhound to and from school in Edmonton back home within the decade prior to the attack. It's embarrassing to have a society where it's not plainly obvious that a person with no legal right (citizenship/permanent residency) such as him should have been deported post-haste.
