How can private industry help save the lives of hostages? Here is an interesting approach:
"We are now offering a one-million-shekel reward to every Gaza resident who saves the life of a Jewish captive….” - Jewish millionaire Robert Berman made a bold promise in an interview with FOX News, assuring every resident of the Gaza Strip that they will be rewarded for saving the lives of Israelis.
It seems like a reasonable and creative approach, especially if publicized throughout Gaza. We know that would-be terrorists respond to economic incentives (all those suitcase bombers in Israel earned $50-$100k for their families from Saddam Hussein. When Saddam was gone, the bombings stopped).
And here is a carrot and stick.
In the picture is Osama Abu Asa. An Arab, a Muslim, and a Bedouin. He was murdered in his car by the Hamas/Isis terrorists on the October 7th massacre…
And now the family of the victim is offering a one-million-dollar reward for anyone who can provide information about the terrorists who murdered him. "Everything was recorded on the car's camera," says his uncle. "We have blood revenge with the terrorists, and we, the Bedouins, will be settling this account, no matter how long it takes." source
I would not want to be on the Bedouin Kill List. Oh, hell no.
I, for one, love private initiatives. It is one reason why I want to offer economic prizes to those who arm the Iranian citizenry... cheapest way to deal with the fountainhead of the war in the Middle East.

Bedouin Kill List would be a pretty good name for a band.

Hard to collect your reward after Hamas gives you the 20 cent permanent exit visa….

I think it's a great idea in theory, but it comes close to paying terrorists not to terrorize people. That is a dangerous policy, I think.

Do they specify where the payment would take place?
