So true. People like Mamdani and E-Sayed smile a lot, but have you ever seen pictures of them when they aren't smiling? They both have cold dark eyes that look on a souless stare . . . To me, they radiate evil . . .

Well said Susan. I am finding it somewhat comforting that apparently some Americans who moved to Europe after Trump was elected have decided to come back after living with less. "You don't know what you got till it's gone."

It is not just the negative message. it is the psychological state and immaturity required to believe and repeat that message.
A child can complain there is a draft from a defective window in her room. An adult cannot just similarly complain about the window in his room without forming the thought that it is up to him to fix it. People who are leading, building, producing and creating are less likely to condemn the USA because such a thought would spark an immediate inquiry about what one can or should be doing to make things better. There is probably a focus on more specific, tangible issues.
A leftist is a child inventing a magical parent to take of things. No guilt, no responsibility, no ideas or skills to offer and a weird entitlement to benefits and policy influence. And abject hatred of everybody and everything that stands in the way of that fantasy.
Hate is also a childish thing. I had a drinking buddy back in the day, a lawyer with a special forces background. An idiot came into the bar and decided to insult my friend after bothering some other people. He did not even look at him. He threw some cash on the bar and left and I followed him out. I wondered out loud why he did that and had remained so calm. He replied that he had nothing to prove, there was no real danger and that his training had made him forget how to "hurt somebody just a little." For supremely self-confident adults, injuring or even killing a rude moron is fun only in the movies.
The constant drivel of "direct action" and "fascism" and war to be waged by angry children who have never been punched in the nose and who assume that if the violence turns against them they can call time out or report the cops to Mommy is a tantrum by a puer aeternus demographic playing a role for which they are poorly cast.
