The painting of Paul Cezanne's "The Murder."

Recently, there has been a lot of reporting about two horrible murders of white men by non-whites. Austin Metcalf in America and Henry Nowak in Britain. The murders were both tragic and evil, as murders usually are. Perhaps it is my pessimistic nature, but individual murders don't bother me much. A small percentage of people go crazy and murder other people for no sensible reason. It's a part of life. What has disturbed me more is that a significant contingent of blacks in America and Sikhs in Britain are more tribally oriented than justice oriented.

I doubt that it's a majority of either group, but if you are chronically online you have observed some of the horrible attacks against Austin Metcalf's father. It's pretty nasty stuff.

While more polite, many Sikhs wanted the murderer of Henry Nowk to be let off for similarly tribal reasons.

Sikhs in Britain are an unusual population. They came in primarily after WWII in poverty and they were not entirely welcome by the native Brits. Now Sikhs earn more wealth than the native whites and they have lower crime rates. Previously, I would have thought of them as a successful example of integration. But a significant portion of the Sikhs are only loyal to their tribe, regardless of justice.

The families of both murderers behaved appallingly. The Sikh family in Southampton immediately took the side of their insane son. The brother of the murderer lied to the police and the mother of the two hid the dagger to protect her son from the consequences of his Cain-like trespass.

The Anthony family in America has behaved in an equally wretched fashion. Notably, by blaming the family of the murder victim.

What these two instances show is that tribalism isn't going away anytime soon. There are theories that places with hotter climates create more tribal people with higher in-group preferences. (The studies for this theory are new but fascinating: Link.) Others would theorize that Sikhs in Britain or blacks in America still hold to tribalism as overcompensation for past discrimination.

I don't know what causes these extreme cases of tribalism, only that they aren't going away. But I will say this. The desire of white populations throughout the Western world to become a multicultural brotherhood of man without any tribal affiliation is not reciprocated. It will be better if we all realize this moving forward.

This kind of tribalism and race-consciousness mindset is becoming obnoxiously ubiquitous.

I guess I first noticed it during the O.J. Simpson trial, when I heard some black people saying he should be acquitted regardless of guilt.

Speaking of tribalism, Rupert Lowe’s “Rape Gang Report” has been issued, and everyone can draw their own conclusions. Funny how the government supposedly representing the victims went out of its way to protect the perpetrators:

The tribalism of the Sikhs in the instance of the murder of Henry Nowak did not happen in a vacuum. Some of the blame for this response must lie at the feet of the British elites and government who have and are encouraging tribalism in their coddling of the Muslims and Africans they've let into the country even though the vast majority of them (the Muslims and Africans) are: 1) hostile to Western civilization, and 2) either refuse to or unable to abide by the norms of British culture and law. Other groups see this and act accordingly.

It may be the the sikhs stick together because they are scared by the rise of other tribal groups.

There are historic and legacy tribes and then there are the made to order tribes that have metastasized since the Obama and Occupy Wall Street St era. See this piece by DataRepublican addressing the organized Tribe of Antifa. One of the individuals profiled has been a member of the tribe since he was 15. The information described is from Federal indictments for conspiracy and Federal tax filings on Forms 990. They are most avowedly hostile to Western civilization and refuse or are unable to abide by American culture or law.

Life as a paid protester…….”That's how one Minneapolis defendant described spending an afternoon in a parking ramp photographing license plates for a searchable ICE vehicle database. He used the word "job." He did not appear to notice.” A

94-page federal indictment — United States v. Sant et al., District of Minnesota — charges 15 members of Direct Action Minnesota with conspiracy to impede federal officers. Built almost entirely on Signal intercepts and physical surveillance, its 275 overt acts document six months of activity in granular detail. The indictment accidentally is the most detailed publicly available ethnography of how a decentralized protest network sustains full-time operations. What follows is a composite day reconstructed from the indictment's timestamps, Signal messages, and surveillance records, cross-referenced against IRS 990 filings. The protagonist is not one person. He is all of them.”
