That's a snippet from a statement that Deputy Director of the FBI Bongino posted on his official X account page earlier today. Here it is in its entirety. (Note: when you read the segments I bolded, keep in mind that they come not from some naif who's unfamiliar with how ugly things can get in the corridors of power, but from someone who spent 12 years in the Secret Service, including presidential protection duty for Bush43 and Obama):
"During my tenure here as the Deputy Director of the FBI, I have repeatedly relayed to you that things are happening that might not be immediately visible, but they are happening.
The Director and I are committed to stamping out public corruption and the political weaponization of both law enforcement and intelligence operations. It is a priority for us. But what I have learned in the course of our properly predicated and necessary investigations into these aforementioned matters, has shocked me down to my core. We cannot run a Republic like this. I’ll never be the same after learning what I’ve learned.
We are going to conduct these righteous and proper investigations by the book and in accordance with the law. We are going to get the answers WE ALL DESERVE. As with any investigation, I cannot predict where it will land, but I can promise you an honest and dignified effort at truth. Not “my truth,” or “your truth,” but THE TRUTH.
God bless America, and all those who defend Her.
Respectfully, Dan"
Godspeed in your work, Mr. Bongino. And please,...watch your six.
PS: The phrase "A republic, if you can keep it" comes to mind. I hope we can. I hope it's not too late.

They never imagined a day when they would be held accountable.

Some, like the Bidens, don't even understand their crimes because "everyone does it."

It really starts with local cops, prosecutors, and judges, and goes up from there.

”I’m very afraid and you should be very afraid. I can’t tell you what I’m afraid of but if you knew…”
Would you accept a statement such as this from Chris Wray?

Why do I suspect that this “honest and dignified effort at truth” will, sadly, fail, and that the “public corruption and … political weaponization of both law enforcement and intelligence operations” will continue, and the Uniparty will be just fine with that, and that these phenomena are linked?
Of course there are those who will see this as evidence that there is no such corruption, which, if one starts from the premise that everything is perfect, is logical.
