We had a wind and rainstorm last week, and as usual, there was some flooding in low-lying areas of western Washington. A weather guy posted a couple of photos of Snoqualmie Falls in full flood, so we went up there this afternoon. Full flood, indeed.
It was pretty loud and throwing up considerable spray.
The leaves were still turning. I liked that little stand of trees growing right out of the rock wall on the opposite bank. We got some sunset shots, too. Fall is my favorite season!

With a little plate tectonics thrown in. The Cascades are young mountains and the Cascadia Fault is nearby.

Since I live near Niagara Falls, I'm not easily impressed. But I must say those are excellent Falls.
