Ben Shapiro vs Tucker Carlson at TPUSA’s AmericaFest

Turning Point USA, the organization started by the late Charlie Kirk, is holding its AmericaFest gathering in Arizona. Invited speakers have included Erika Kirk, Michael Knowles, Tucker Carlson, and Ben Shapiro, among others…There’s just one problem: TPUSA, as of this writing, has yet to make available Ben Shapiro’s speech to the assembled attendees on its YouTube channel.

Perhaps it’s because Shapiro went scorched earth on Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens for pushing ridiculous conspiracy theories, including Owens' claim that the Israelis planned and carried out the assassination of Charlie Kirk, along with Carlson's willingness to promote pro-Nazi and antisemitic nutjobs. Shapiro went further by taking Megyn Kelly to task for excusing both Carlson and Owens because they are “just asking questions.”

It’s a disappointing state of affairs that TPUSA is ostensibly – at least for now – censoring Ben Shapiro. Many subscribers to TPUSA’s YouTube channel have voiced their frustration and disappointment with the organization.

Frankly, I found Carlson’s characterization of Shapiro’s speech dishonest. He claimed that Shapiro was essentially demanding that Carlson be “deplatformed” in an attempt to cast himself as someone being persecuted rather than addressing what Shapiro had to say point-by-point.
