Basically:

  • Leave it to the States
  • Yes to in vitro fertilization
  • Yes to exceptions for rape, incest, life of the mother

I think this is probably the majority position among Americans. Clearly a federal ban is not, nor is abortion for any reason up to birth. It's arguable that abortion as an issue has hurt Republicans in the last couple of election cycles.

So did Trump thread the needle here so as to remove this as a big voter driver in November?

    Yes he split the baby.

    Doesn't matter.

Progs will lie to their base and the minions will believe the lies.

So if a the state decides that infanticide, particularly prenatal, is fine - its fine?

The majority opinion of Americans is irrelevant.

    Edit: "a" not "the"

The Democrats will still shout things like "He'll take away your birth control!" And the AWFLs will believe it.

The majority opinion of Americans is irrelevant.

SCOTUS ruled in Dobbs that there is no federal power to regulate abortion. Thus it is a state-level issue. The national majority opinion is irrelevant. It will be relevant when 2/3 of each House and 3/4 of the States decide there needs to be a federal power to regulate abortion.

Your infanticide hypothetical is nonsense under the 14th Amendment.
