Falcon Heavy Launch and Recovery of First Stages

SpaceX launched a Falcon Heavy earlier today, which consists of a rocket with another two boosters attached - one on each side. The payload is bigger than normal, a spacecraft that will travel to investigate the asteroid Psyche. Psyche lies beyond the orbit of Mars. It is a metal-rich asteroid and may be similar in composition to Earth's core.

I find this so refreshing after a grim week of other news.

I have queued the video to show the two boosters landing, one after the other, which is so very cool. Back up to 51:00 to watch the launch.

Darn! I set my alarm to remind me and didn't hear it. I've reset it for this evening, which is always dramatic. (I've double-checked.) I think I've said that we can watch the launch from our kitchen window!

Why tonight? Is it going to be launched again?
