To say that ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is polarizing, verging on radioactive, is an understatement. Time for a new name, preferably to something acronymically difficult, something that doesn't roll off the tongue as easily as "ICE.” Maybe the "Homeland Immigration Customs and Border Administration" or maybe the "Office of Border Customs and Emigration Immigration." Anything. As long as it's a mouthful ...
At the very least, the Left would have to change their chants and signs.

Let’s spitball this. Or better yet, let’s water pistol this, or whoopie cushion it:
Big Pharma specializes in creating brand new names that are hideously difficult to pronounce. Also, just plain hideous. I have seen new drug names that make Turkish EPL footballer names seem to glide off the tongue, by comparison.
Ok, so, one way to ensure that an acronym for a name has certain qualities (such as loveliness, or appropriateness, or obscene humour pleasing to an adult male of arrested emotional/intellectual development) is back-formation.
So how bout this. Start by asking a young employee of Merck with a masters in marketing to create a typical new drug name. Then work backward to create the new name for ICE. Grybfimphlab, or some such.
Ok, fine, I’m just shooting things on the wall with a pea-shooter here, to see what sticks.

I don't know, but putting letters together I came up with a funny one...

Like I used to tell my daughter when she was in the army. It comes from the SAD. Stupid Acronym Department.

Does anyone in a purple state care about ICE? Seems like ICE is controversial only in deep blue states that are going to vote hard left anyway.
