Never Again is Now!
This image has been posted by "Christen an der Seite Israels" ("Christians on Israel's Side"), a group I belong to here in Germany. There has been, Dank sei Gott, a very strong outpouring of support for Israel here since the first reports came in of the savage cruelties and barbaric evils that the cowardly, honorless terrorists of Hamas inflicted on unsuspecting men, women, and children in Israel last Saturday. There have been pro-Israel demonstrations (one is scheduled for Tuesday here in Augsburg) and prayer meetings (been to several) revealing a very significant section of the German public supporting Israel in its war against Hamas.
The support from the press has also been good, so far. The much-viewed political talk show hosted by Markus Lanz on October 11 (link in German) featured four live guests and one guest by satellite link who were unanimous in their support for Israel and condemnation of Hamas. Chancellor Scholz has been unequivocal in his support for the Jewish state, and all the major weekly news magazines -- Der Spiegel, Focus, Stern -- have been one-sided in the right direction for a change. Then, there was this in this week's Sunday edition of Die Welt:
It lists the names of those murdered by Hamas on the 7th of October as they were available at the time of printing.
Lamentably, there have been pro-Hamas demonstrations too, in Berlin, Kassel, Frankfurt, and elsewhere. A quick search of "Pro-Hamas Demos verboten," though, will show you that the government response to them has been a police crackdown. There are calls in the press (in both Die Welt and Focus, for instance) for ... let's call it a more vigorous police response to the Nazis/Hamas sympathizers (same thing, especially here) taking to the streets.
There is now long overdue talk of withdrawing the public support from pro-Palestinian terror-supporting Islamist and left-wing organizations (they were already going after the home-grown Neo-Nazis), revoking visas of scholars known to support Hamas, shutting down mosques that celebrated the mass murders of Jews last week, and further measures. Please pray that this resolve holds, and write your local German consulate to let them know that you support the unequivocal condemnation of Hamas, Hezbollah, and other anti-Jewish terror organizations operating on German soil. Every bit of encouragement or public pressure not to go wobbly is needed.

I think you meant to write support for Israel and condemnation of Hamas.

Counter-protests. Drown out their nonsense with nie wieder ist jetzt.

Yes. I was momentarily distracted while typing and at your correction, have fixed it. Thanks.

On the other hand, I do know people who manage to simultaneously support and condemn Hamas. (You know, the usual "Killing babies is wrong, but we must understand Arab anger" and "Israel must stop its genocide of the Palestinians".)

Even better: Deport all immigrants whose sympathies are with those terrorist and islamist organizations.
