Hey folks. As the title says: long time no see. I hope all is well.
A lot has happened since last I saw you, both personally and societally. My husband, JY, and I have permanently relocated to Texas and spend our time in there (daughter and three granddaughters) and Arizona (sons #1 and #3 and six grandchildren) and California (son #2; no grandchildren - yet - so he doesn't get as much of our attention. Recently married, so hopefully that situation changes soon.)
As I spoke of at the time, son #1 was at Kabul for the fall as a then-captain in the USMC. Last year he was interviewed for a documentary called The Path to Zero: The Withdrawal From Afghanistan, and it was recently released on the Wall Street Journal YouTube channel.
Since I spent so much time with all of you during those grim days, I thought of all of you and thought you might be interested. Son #1 is the bald guy with an impressive beard. And he's the only one who swore in the entire hour; I regret to inform you that I swore quite a bit while watching. I thought he and the other Marines interviewed did a good job speaking about a difficult time.
Regardless of whether you know me, remember me, or don't care about me, the documentary is worth your time.
Thank you!
