President Trump continues to shoot himself in the foot. In a combative interview with black journalists, he questioned Kamala Harris’ heritage…many in the audience gasped. Look, I know VP Harris is Jamaican/Indian, not “African American,” but who flippin cares…argue policy. He could argue his own policy vs hers…another unforced error…

If this keeps up the Democrats won’t even have to do mail-in balloting… Please stop being Hilary Clinton…argue policy!!!! His team has worked so hard bringing disaffected African Americans into the Republican Party. More than anyone since Herbert Hoover, but man….in two weeks he has about blown 8 years of work. Sheesh…it’s just not that hard…it’s really not.

I appreciate the summary and opinion, but a link would help.

He was asked a direct question and answered it. It just shows what a chameleon Kamala is. Your question “who flippin cares?” Democrats care - all they have to run on is skin color and abortion - and they are caught in a pickle on this one. (Sort of like with Obama who being our first “black President” is actually half white) Some might say this is “weird”.

    Trigger warning - cringe ahead:

It doesn't influence people who don't care about politics but who will still vote in the next election. Voters who don't keep up just hear headlines. And they aren't interested in nuance. And when he's talking about race, he's not talking about her awful policies.

It's a bad headline. Trump needs to be more disciplined. He seemed to know it, but it's slipping, nevertheless.

This is not the way to win this election. He's not changing anything with remarks like that.

My point exactly…why even bring it up…you are at an event that can continue to bring in disaffected African Americans into the Republican Party…keep on topic of your policies that had African American unemployment at 2% and real wage growth…growth of business etc…why even bring race into it…either the Republicans are not the party of DEI or they are…you cant say DEI is terrible then question the candidates ethnic back ground…I’m sorry…it was a terrible unforced error to even go there in the first place…it is tacky and ridiculous…this was a mistake…a terrible avoidable mistake that will drive voters away….stop talking about ethnic back ground…talk policies and what she stands for. Let them talk race..they love it…Republican supposedly don’t but with the last two weeks I’m not so sure anymore.
