Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
I'll begin this essay by assessing threats and reactions to threats.
The usual suspects in the Democrat Party are threatening to impeach President Trump and demanding Congressional action to approve any military action would have been waving at the Japanese pilots on December 7, 1941.
If Congress had been in session when God said, 'Let there be light,' we would still be in the dark. When I was on the streets as a police officer, if someone was threatening me, but they were so intoxicated they could not stand up, I would handcuff them and search their clothing and off we went to booking.
If someone were sober and standing upright and raging, then I would assess their fight-or-flee body language. If I believed it was going to be a fight, they would be slammed without a warning.
The United States conducted strikes targeting three nuclear facilities with bunker-buster bombs and Tomahawk cruise missiles.
The US chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said all three sites sustained “extreme damage.” Israeli officials echoed that statement, though they added the Fordow nuclear facility was “not destroyed.”
Iran began taking steps to retaliate against the United States, including by threatening shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.Iran likely interfered with GPS signals in the Strait of Hormuz on June 22.
Israel continued its air campaign against Iran.
The United States conducted strikes against three Iranian nuclear sites, including the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FEEP) in Qom Province. A US official told the New York Times that six American warplanes dropped 12 30,000-lb GBU-57 massive ordnance penetrator (MOP) bunker-busting bombs on Fordow.
Trump said the facilities were “completely and totally obliterated.” The chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff said all three sites sustained "extreme damage and destruction.” The chairman added that he did not yet have a complete battle damage assessment at this time, however. A senior Israeli official told Axios that US strikes set back Iran's nuclear program by years.
The US official also told the New York Times that a US B-2 bomber dropped two GBU-57 MOPs on the Natanz nuclear site. Israel has previously struck Natanz multiple times since the start of Israel’s air campaign against Iran on June 12. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi previously stated that Israeli strikes likely damaged or destroyed several thousand centrifuges at Natanz. Satellite imagery from June 22 shows a probable entry-point crater at the above-ground complex at the Natanz nuclear site.
Tomahawk cruise missiles were also launched by US Navy submarines. You can read the entire ISW report by clicking on the link in this essay.

I want to thank all the Democrats who kept chanting TACO, TACO, TACO. Nothing like having your enemies mock you to stiffen your spine.

Doesn't matter. Judge Boasberg ordered Him to restore the darkness. We are expecting a response imminently.

But seriously folks, the Iranian parliament has voted to close the Straits of Hormuz. Unclear if the government will follow through with that.

The Chinese, an Iranian benefactor, won't be thrilled about seeing their source of oil cut off if the Iranians follow through on closing the Straits. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait may also be a tad upset given that oil exports drive their respective economies. There are also US Naval assets in the area as well. Destroying most if not all of the Iranian navy could be very achievable...but it may take more than one lesson for the Iranians to FO.

It's been a while, but the Reagan-era Operation Praying Mantis destroyed two offshore oil platforms that Iran was using for radar platforms and sank around half of Iran's navy on April 18, 1988. It took almost all day.
