Here is what the ChatGPT AI said about the impending Trump nomination:

Me: Please compose a blog post on the pros and cons for the Republicans in nominating Donald Trump.

ChatGPT:

Title: Nominating Donald Trump: Weighing the Pros and Cons for Republicans

Introduction: The prospect of nominating Donald Trump for another presidential run has been a topic of intense debate within the Republican Party. With a polarizing figure like Trump, there are both advantages and disadvantages that the party must carefully consider. In this blog post, we'll explore the pros and cons of Republicans choosing Trump as their nominee.

Pros:

  1. Loyalty and Base Support: One of the undeniable strengths of Donald Trump is his unwavering support among a significant portion of the Republican base. Nominating him could solidify and energize this base, increasing voter turnout in favor of the GOP.
  2. Economic Track Record: Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. experienced a robust economy under Trump's administration. Many Republicans argue that his pro-business policies, tax cuts, and deregulation contributed to this success. Nominating Trump may signal a commitment to revitalizing the economy.
  3. Populist Appeal: Trump has a unique ability to connect with voters who feel disenfranchised or overlooked by traditional politicians. His populist appeal could attract a broader coalition that extends beyond typical Republican demographics.
  4. Foreign Policy Achievements: The Trump administration brokered historic agreements in the Middle East, such as the Abraham Accords, which normalized relations between Israel and several Arab nations. Supporters argue that Trump's unconventional approach to diplomacy brought about positive change.

Cons:

  1. Divisiveness: Donald Trump remains one of the most polarizing figures in American politics. Nominating him could further divide an already fractured electorate, potentially alienating moderate voters crucial in swing states.
  2. Handling of the COVID-19 Pandemic: Critics argue that Trump's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic was inadequate, leading to a higher death toll and economic downturn. Nominating him may draw attention to these perceived failures and hinder the party's credibility on matters of public health.
  3. Personal Conduct and Ethics: Trump's personal conduct and ethical concerns have been a source of controversy throughout his political career. Nominating him might expose the party to criticism on matters of character and integrity, potentially diminishing its moral standing.
  4. Limited Appeal Beyond the Base: While Trump commands a devoted following, there are doubts about his ability to attract voters outside of his core base. Republicans may be concerned that relying solely on Trump's appeal could limit the party's reach and hinder efforts to broaden its voter base.

Conclusion: The decision for Republicans to nominate Donald Trump is a complex one, requiring careful consideration of both the potential benefits and drawbacks. While Trump brings a fervent base, a strong economic track record, and a populist appeal, the risks of divisiveness, pandemic response criticism, and concerns about personal conduct must also be weighed. Ultimately, the Republican Party faces a delicate balancing act in determining whether Trump's candidacy aligns with its long-term goals and values.

Spooky how solid that analysis was.

I have been playing with AI a lot this week. I needed to grab some stuff from the Google cloud and AI gave me the code strings to pull from various buckets. Instead of Googling historical figures I came across in articles and Facebook antiquities pages, I asked AI instead and got concise, detailed info. It summarized a long doc for me. Then made bullet points out of the summary (with added text and info as needed). I have an old unfinished tome and AI gave me the exact steps to put it on Amazon if and when I finish it (Heck, maybe it can finish writing it...)

The quality, relevance, vocabulary and grammar are invariably good. I have not yet figured out ways to routinely integrate it.

Yes. Interesting what's missing, nothing related to Jan6, 2020 and 2024 election integrity, or the various legal actions pending against Trump. That's strange.

I believe that Cons #2 is a piece of Progressivist propaganda, wrapped in a disarmingly innocent-looking package of mundane objective items that make it easy for an American patriot to miss.

Also, I think that if f someone did this deliberately, it’s an impressively powerful piece of 5G warfare and it’s working very well so far.
