I was in college when Carter was elected President. I voted for Ford, but he lost. I joined the Navy even though Carter was President. At the time, I thought he was the worst President we have ever had. When Obama was elected, he took the mantle of worst.
Now, I can't decide. Who is worse: Obama or Biden? Or even Carter?
I have my thoughts, but I want to hear from my fellow Ricochetti ...

Obama. None of this disaster would have come to pass if John McCain hadn't thrown the election.

Joe Biden was barely functional when his administration started. What we are currently experiencing is the Obama administration. All the same people. Same people who would be running things under any Democrat President.
To me there is no difference between Joe Biden and “generic Democrat.” He’s just a puppet for enacting the Party’s policies.

Somehow a dunce that everyone recognizes as a dunce isn't quite so bad as a dunce with impenetrable narrative armor. Obama by a nose.

Hard to decide, but I think it matters whether one thinks about intent or results. Reagan was able to repair most of the damage Carter caused. The damage Obama and Biden's handlers have done may be beyond repair.
If one judges by intent, it is Obama, a man who wanted to destroy -- "fundamentally re-make -- the country. All Wandering Joe wanted is to be President. He is an amoral scumbag who has wanted that since the 1980s.

Worst: Obama, who hates America's history and traditions on a fanatical ideological basis. The Biden "administration" is simply Obama's third term by other means, but Biden is responsible to the extent he knows anything about what is going on at all.
Carter was a lousy president, but he was also a patriot who loved the nation. He just was incompetent to run the executive branch of the federal government.
Go back a little farther, and there's LBJ, another of the worst presidents. He was IMO a narcissistic megalomaniac who could not admit ever being in error.
He set in place the so-called Great Society programs that have destroyed the black family. He deepened our entanglement in the Vietnam (and Cambodia and Laos) War while refusing to let the military fight to win or invade/destroy the North Vietnamese government, while also insisting the War be fought with no offsetting the costs elsewhere. Hence, a great explosion of inflation which took draconian economic measures to tame in the Reagan years by Volcker and others. The resistance to the War and to the draft also fostered the development of the radical left (the "New Left") especially in colleges and universities, leading to folks like Bill Ayers and Angela Davis having long careers as tenured professors indoctrinating another couple of generations of leftists.
