Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
I was a member here a few years ago. I've been thinking of you a lot lately, whenever I hear of Jews talking about how alone they feel since October 7.
Because of my time at Ricochet, I know that I am not alone. I know that many people stand with us, and see what we see, and feel what we feel.
I’ve been checking your writings recently and was not surprised to see my expectations confirmed.
Western Chauvinist defending Western Civilization, Jim George on Bari Weiss' great speech, Old Bathos on Why Evil and Stupid Are Winning, BDB's Every Month for Israel, and many, many more fantastic people writing fantastic pieces. Harvard may be lost, and the New York Times may be a former newspaper, but goodness and greatness still exist.
My heart goes out to Jews who, after watching the horrors of October 7, had to also experience the collapse of their worldviews and tribal affiliations. Those who fetishized oppressed victims rising up against systemic oppressors saw things from the other side. I hope they learned some broader lessons. It was bizarre seeing Debra Messing and Michael Rapaport speak at the March for Israel.
But I’m not here to express schadenfreude for Jewish friends. In the sea of evil, the biggest redeeming light following October 7 has been the remarkable level of Jewish unity. It's unfortunate that it always takes a tragedy to bring such unity.
I’m fortunate to have long understood that my true friends and fellow travelers are those who stand firmly for Western Civilization. Who speak of Judeo-Christianity, and defend it proudly. Who understand, embrace, and continue the story of the People of Israel, and who walk together with us in advancing this story.
So thank you, Ricochetti. It is an honor to call you friends.

I recommend this for promotion to the Main Feed, although it might seem to be a bit too “Ricochet-centric” for a general audience.
Actually, I suggest it’s a great reflection of what’s best about R>: the strong quality of member writing, and the continuity of an intelligent and thoughtful community.
