Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
I've long preferred DeSantis for all the usual reasons. I've also said that I will do everything possible to support any GOP candidate as the nominee in the general, because the harm done by another 4 years of Democrat rule will be very damaging and be much harder to repair. Since DeSantis suspended his campaign I've been contemplating still voting for him or voting for Trump (DeSantis will still be on the NH ballot). The reason to support DeSantis is a long-term fall back strategic one, expecting that Trump will handily beat Nikki Haley. However, the news that Adam Kinzinger is telling me to withhold my vote for Trump in order to lower his margin made my decision. I will be voting for Trump.
It seems highly likely that this year will be a Trump - Biden rematch. Current trajectories suggest that Trump can get enough votes outside the margin of fraud to win. I do expect the voting totals will be much lower than 2020 as the fraudulence of Biden's "healing normality" promise in 2020 has been clearly shown to be a lie. I think that we need to get Trump as the presumptive candidate fast, so people can get over their hurt feelz from the primary and unite to defeat the Dems. As part of that Trump needs to pre-announce his VP pick along with his starting cabinet. I think the best two options for VP are either Haley (yes, I know all the complaints against her, but I agree with Kurt Schlicter), or Tim Scott. Senator Scott has the Pence style that balances out Trump's. I lean toward him.
Senator Tom Cotton is to me the prime choice for Sec Def. I think DeSantis would be an ideal Attorney General, given the task there and his impressive skill set. I would bring back Pompeo for Secretary of State. Larry Kudlow is my choice for Secretary of the Treasury. I'd bring Roland Fryer in at Larry's old role or a similar chief economist. I'd make Vivek Ramaswamy Sec of Commerce. Other ideas? Who else do you think would make up a dream cabinet?

Kudlow for Treasury would be a very good thing. I would like to see a Trump-DeSantis ticket, followed by DeSantis-Stefanik. Dreaming, I know, but I'd sleep better for the next 12 years.

Trump - DeSantis cannot happen. They are both from Florida and it's against the Constitution. Also, DeSantis' unique skill set would be wasted as Veep. I don't have a strong opinion on Stefanik, I think she's a lot smarter than her critics paint her. To get to where she is via the NY political world is no small achievement.

Kudlow is a corporatist and weak on Trade. Peter Navarro for Treasury would fix things. I like Stefanik for VP. I think it is a mistake for a Senator trade down to a cabinet job.
I hope Project2025.org will provide the army of personnel to unwind the deep state.
