We’ve learned in recent years that when the Left’s theories are contradicted by the real world, they stick with the theory. If the laboratory mice aren’t behaving as predicted, the problem isn’t the theory; it’s the mice. — Stephen Moore

While Moore stated this several years back, we are seeing it illustrated today. The Democrats lost big last year running on a platform of wokeness, environmental activism, mass migration, antisemitism, and trans activism. They were doing more than using these as a political platform, they were running the country with these as their lodestars. Speech police existed. Gas appliances and gasoline-powered cars were to be banned. Illegal aliens were welcomed into the country using resources extorted from legal residents. Hamas was supported. Boys were allowed to play in girls' sports if they pretended to be girls and anyone objecting was punished.

They were thrown out on their ears. Two months of a new administration and sanity is returning with all of this being reversed - except where Democrat dead-enders are putting up roadblocks. The vast majority of the country is supporting the changes.

Have the Democrats learned from their folly? Apparently not, because they are doubling down on the positions that cost them so dearly in 2024. They insist the problem is not their policies. No. The problem was their messaging. They simply did not communicate the joys to be found in the miseries they advocated well enough for the American public to appreciate why they wanted it. Or that they are too stupid or too selfish or too something to take the unneeded castor oil of wokeness, environmentalism, borderlessness, antisemitism, and transgenderism the Democrats are prescribing.

The problem lies not in the theories, but in the mice. They feel a new electorate (from outside the US) will be more appreciative. Unfortunately for them (but fortunately for us mice) that path is blocked for the next four years.

Give them a Bobcat excavator. Let them mechanize the process.
