When Abraham Lincoln: A Life was published in 2009, it rapidly became acknowledged as the definitive Lincoln biography. In October of this year, the updated and abridged (from 2 volumes to 1) edition was published. This week my audition was approved, and I expect to get the contract to produce the audiobook after the holidays.
I'm thrilled at the prospect of this title being my 82nd audiobook. This is a chance to narrate a classic, like when I produced the new edition of Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo. It's a lot longer than most of the titles I do, so I expect to spend a lot of the first quarter of 2024 on it, but that's fine with me. It is a superbly well-written book.
Couldn't ask for a better Christmas present.

Some years ago I read what was an eye opener for me, The Real Lincoln by Thomas DiLorenzo. I appreciated it as well for the pans.
I expect yours to be over-the-top as well.
