Several scary observations about election night:
I don't know how to quantify the elderly aged-hippy vote, nor can I say how large the insulated and uninformed youngest cohort of voters is, but I despair of any outreach to those people who, together with some vested interests, likely provide a 35-45% cushion for even the worst possible Democratic candidates.
Gavin Newsom, brazenly looking to steal even more House seats, recognizes that the elections in 2026 and 2028 will either kill the project of importing illegals onto already untidy voter rolls and thus kill the larger leftist project for a generation, OR it will bring about a lasting victory for the anti-constitutional, anti-American socialist movement from which the country will not recover. The hard left does not need an actual majority if they control the majority party with its masses of knee-jerk zombie voters. The comparatively marginal policy differences at stake in a Bush-Kerry or Carter-Ford election seem quaintly polite and very unlike the all-or-nothing outcomes emerging at present.
Meanwhile, Trump is foolishly advancing the Democratic agenda by calling for the end of the filibuster when it was the filibuster that has prevented a 15-member Dem-appointed supermajority SCOTUS, senators from Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, a virtual repeal of the Second Amendment, statutorily enshrined election cheating, instant citizenship for illegals...
Imagine how much damage that Speaker AOC and a filibuster-free Senate Majority Leader Warren could do under a Newsom Administration and all under the watchful eye of SCOTUS Chief Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

And young ignorant, kneejerk females are even more dangerous to the health of the republic than I had originally thought:

Nobody wants free stuff more than females that have "married" government.

The GOP needs to get a positive message. Trump fixed last year's problems (eggs, immigration) and the GOP is offering no solutions to this year's problems (rent, energy, insurance). People vote for solutions.
Lefties are "married" to government who is expected to protect them and provide for them.

Democrats used to vote for solutions. Now they vote against those who correctly point out that their leaders' proposed solutions are complete and utter nonsense. That Fetterman, Cuomo, and DeBlasio are also on the enemies list tells us that the war on reality is underway.
I can't have a pony just because we live in a Manhattan condo? So unfair! I hate you!

The fallacy is to think they won't do that anyhow.
The only thing that stopped Schumer was Sinema and Manchin.
And the only current Senate Dem. who occasionally stands up against the hard left agenda opposes the filibuster:
