Serious request — name a single thing the Democrats have done in the last five years that was politically smart. All I can come up with is that they printed lots of money and dropped it from helicopters. It caused the highest inflation in 40 years, but, politically, a lot of people were grateful.

Other than that, they nominated Joe Biden (twice), a poor politician in his prime, even worse in decline. They nominated Harris, who is in her prime, but a worse politician than Joe. They repeatedly take the “20” side of 80/20 issues. They have zero positive agenda other than socialism. They not only have no “bench”, they have no starters. They have no one ready for prime time.

In the run-up to this recent election, the democrats thought it was good politics to shut down the government. They thought “No Kings” was an inspiring battle cry.

So, a historically good election for Republicans, right?

NYC elected Rudy Giuliani twice. NYC elected Bloomberg twice. NYC just elected an avowed socialist. The Republican was considered so unelectable that Trump himself said not to vote for him.

The New Jersey Governor’s race went 57/43 democrat. The Virginia governor’s race went 58/42 Democrat. Virginia threw out the incumbent Republican attorney general by voting for a Democrat candidate who texted about killing children for political gain 53/47.

Sadly, George Soros is currently winning. His One Big Truth is spreading.

That truth is this: All women, and all people of color, are victims. If they do not achieve economic success, it is not their fault. It is the fault of white, heterosexual men (and Jews) who created and run a vast system of oppression and discrimination. Life would be fair, equal, and prosperous for all if the oppressive White (Jewish) Patriarchy were dismantled.

The Soros’ Truth is factually false, and any social policy based on that truth will be unsuccessful. Furthermore, any politician who believes in it is destined to make bad decisions.

The Soros Truth is currently taught by millions of school teachers, thousands of college professors, and is believed by countless influential people in media and government.

Democrats may be incompetent politicians, but they will continue to win elections until the Soros Truth is rejected.

G-Pub

PS: Here is an alternative One Big Truth. The baseline for all humanity is poverty. “Groups” do not rise above the baseline. Poverty is escaped by individual hard work, creativity, intelligence, and integrity. No “group” has a monopoly on hard work, creativity, intelligence, and integrity. Any disparity between, or among, groups may have dozens of explanations, but none of them (in 21st-century America) are oppression and discrimination. Life will never be fair and equal, but individuals can be fair and compassionate toward each other and should treat one another with fairness, compassion, and equal dignity. Individuals do best when they are part of a supportive family, functioning in a free society with basic property rights.

When 51% of voters believe the above, incompetent Republican politicians will win elections.

And Republican voters need to get off their butts and vote. If everyone in NJ and VA who voted for Trump in 2024 voted for the Repub in NJ and VA, the Repub would have won in each race. If everyone in CA who voted for Trump in 2024 voted against Prob 50 (the redistricting plan) it would have been defeated. But no. No Trump = no show. More is required than belief. Effort is needed as well.

True, but the question for me is "Why?" I sometimes wonder if voting for Trump was just a gigantic middle finger to both Demo-rats and Repubs, and having done that, those voters are content to live their lives and let the country go to Hell.

Trump may only be able to save red states. Perhaps we should accept that blue states are too far gone. I won’t blame Trump for states and cities that don’t want to be saved and perhaps aren’t worth trying to save. I can’t think of a blue state I would miss if Democrats wanted to leave the union again. This time I would hope the red state Republicans would just let them go away. They aren’t worth dying over.

They gave up on debating Republicans, and decided instead to vilify them.

Politically, the Dems did this correctly. They created a situation where the majority of people think they are an oppressed minority and only Dems can save them. It is evil, but it works.
