The implosion of the lies concerning Biden’s fitness for office has been a treat. The longer the struggle to oust him continues, the better. The convention is in 32 days. A divided party with a damaged Biden as the nominee would be a gift to America, but that is no certainty. He is supposed to resign this weekend, according to some lefty outlets, but Dr. Jill will likely not permit calls or meetings until he recovers from COVID.
Go down swinging, Joe! Drag it out. The family finances and those of many hangers-ons are at stake!
The MSM is under the illusion that removing Biden and inserting their preferred candidate is easily done. They talk as if Democratic Party delegates all uniformly want the good of the party and to implement/impose/preserve the sheer wonderfulness of elite sensibilities. In reality, the convention crowd includes professional politicians, grifters, de facto communist ideologues, sexual deviant militants, union bosses, radical enviros, etc. — all of whom want something. A strong leader can keep them in line/at bay. A vacuum at the top guarantees chaos. It will get weird.
When the going gets weird, the weird turns pro. –Hunter S. Thompson
In a matter of four weeks or less, all those Democrats who stood down to clear the path for Joe (Newsome, Whitmer, etc.) will arrive at the convention with no delegates, no organization, no convention floor muscle, no cash, and a tiny window within which to make promises and build political capital. The veto power of the hard left will be greatly magnified. Demands about Israel, racial quotas, no fossil fuels, open borders, high taxes, free health care…. The political center has no chance of survival in that environment.
If it becomes clear to delegates that the inevitable nominee is going to lose (e.g., Goldwater, McGovern, Mondale), the concern shifts to what part of future party control will be available. In the short term, what can safe, deep blue officeholders squeeze from the rest? So deals to support an inevitable loser are not off the table.
Biden needs 1,968 delegates for the nomination. Right now, he has all but 7 of the 3,903 already pledged delegates (with another 30 out there somewhere). Add in the super delegates (769) working their state delegations, and the cacophony of an open pre-convention mass phone exchange could presage a true circus at the convention.
Sheer inertia and fear of the unknown seem to indicate that either Biden slouches to the nomination or that they suck it up and nominate Kamala. A female VP choice for the first all-girl ticket could reopen the gender gap favorably enough for Dems to save some suburban House seats and save some in the Senate, but the majority sentient demographic will not elect Harris.
Fight, Joe! You have earned it. Don't let those ungrateful SOBs take you down…

Just like Alexander the Great, without Uncle Joe at the top, the DNC will split into four areas as the different coalitions fight for control. Don't let the bastards get you Joe. Keep fighting. You can beat Kung Flu and these insects biting your ankles.

In a movie, this would be very entertaining.
In reality, this is no fun whatsoever.

Where have you gone, Joe Robin Biden?

Isn't the DNC having a "virtual roll call" in the week or two that will nominate FJB? Is that still on?
