Biden Incites War

Joe Biden's rhetoric now regarding the Israel-Hamas war is an open invitation for Iran to strike Israel. His increasingly anti-Israel stance, along with his demands for an immediate cease-fire, and talk of limiting aid to Israel if Israel does not perform to Joe's double standard, can only embolden Iran to strike. His abstention on a vote in the UN for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza (decoupled from a demand for hostage release by Hamas) while sending letters to Egypt and Qatar asking them to pressure Hamas to release hostages, when he won't call for that openly and directly himself (too hard on Hamas for his constituents in Michigan, apparently), telegraphs his equivocal "support" for Israel. This is not studied ambiguity; this is flat out cashiering Israel by faint support, coupled with harsh rhetorical threats.

His removal of sanctions on Iran has enriched the mullahs enormously, and is fueling funding by Iran of the proxy groups harassing Israel, Hezbollah and the Houthis (while bottlenecking international shipping). His immediate and utterly craven attempt to convince the mullahs that he both had nothing to do with the Israeli strike in Damascus that killed Quds Force generals, and had no prior knowledge of the attacks, can only serve to convince the Iranians of the gulf between Israel and the Biden administration, and the low likelihood of Biden's support should Iran attack.

Is there anyone in the world who believes that Biden would do anything at all if Iran itself sent a missile or missiles into Israel? If Joe did, after all, he might lose Michigan. Or if Hezbollah, with Quds forces along for the ride, invades Israel from the North following massive rocket barrages all over Israel? While Palestinians in the West Bank and Islamic Jihad join in? No action by Joe likely. He would be on the beach in Rehoboth licking an ice cream cone.

The only thing keeping Iran from directly attacking Israel is Israel's demonstrated capacity to knock out ballistic missiles at their apogees, and Israel's capacity to respond. And the Israeli will to survive.

While it took a complex network of alliances and interests to create WWI, it looks as if Joe Biden can start WWIII all by himself. Without even trying. To Joe, such achievements come naturally.

And that isn't even mentioning his effort now to add Ukraine to NATO.

Who put this guy in charge of the world?

Oh, that's right: America. We did.

Clearly America has a death wish. And the Democrats are all in on instigating the suicide of the West. They have doused themselves, and the rest of us, with gasoline, and have the match lit for the self-immolation of the nation. Party of Jefferson? Not at all. Party of Jackson? I'm surprised they haven't attack him for his brutal and unrestrained massacre of British troops at Chalmette and torn down his statue in the French Quarter and renamed Jackson Square.

The obvious weakness of the Biden (?) administration is inviting mischief and aggression from bad actors across the globe. Re the Middle East, I think it's hard to tell if it just stupidity and lack of a plan with concrete actions, or if the administration is actually abandoning our partnership with Israel.

I sometimes find it hard to distinguish between malevolence and stupidity when it comes to Biden.

    Both.

    Why would Iran attack Israel?

Fueled by American dollars and Biden’s benign neglect, they are enjoying a good deal of success.

Attacking and destroying Israel is the reason for their existence, at least in their minds. It's the Willie Sutton principle: Why attack Israel? Because that's where the Jews are.

Israel may have sufficient deterrence to prevent such an attack, as the Mullahs are not completely irrational. But that is no thanks to Biden. He has provided a massive opening for an Iranian attach on Israel. The question is whether the Mullahs are dumb enough to exploit it, an act that if they took it, they would come to regret.

You might as well ask, why did Hamas attack when it did? They certainly are a funded client of Iran. A direct proxy. Iran, up to this point, has been afraid to attach Israel itself, although they have Iranian military in Syria and are abetting Islamic Jihad and Hamas and the Houtis. I think Hamas thought they could count on American and world opinion and influence to protect and preserve them. They may be right. And if so, that would be another incentive for Iran to attack, to attempt to complete the destruction of Israel. It remains to be seen if Iran thinks it could succeed. But Biden is giving Iran all the room in the world to incentivize such an attack. The Mullahs love death, they think, more than Israel loves life.

Personally I wouldn't say Iran is being neglected by Biden. Biden seems to be assiduously courting Iran, just as Obama did. Hardly benign neglect. Biden is supporting Iran financially more than he is Israel, with the removal of sanctions. All so Iran has a better path to a bomb? Biden, like Obama, seems to want to make Iran the hegemon in the Middle East. Why would they want to do that? Given Iran's intent to destroy Israel, I would say Biden is tacitly backing that intent, that "policy."
