Portland, OR cannot afford a repeat of the over 100 nights of rioting that took place in the summer of 2020. The city is still trying to recover financially.
Approximately 12,000 residents have moved out of Multnomah County beginning in 2021. High taxation, the 2020 riots, decriminalizing drug possession, an out-of-control homeless problem has led to an exodus. An exodus that has resulted in a $1 billion revenue loss for Multnomah County.
The exodus has been stemmed a bit by Biden mortgage interest rates. It will begin again as the ability to flee will increase when mortgage interest rates lower. Renters are still leaving the chaos and the best view of Multnomah County is seen in a rearview mirror.
Anarchist coffee shops, cider bars, and the Timbers Army with their Antifa banner are not going to pay the bills. The TV series Portlandia was a documentary of the lighter side of weird Portland, it was not a comedy. The summer of 2020 revealed the ugly side of weird Portland.
The library at Portland State University is being occupied by Hamas groupies. The President of Portland State has asked the Portland Police Bureau to remove them. There has been vandalism and building barricades at the library. The City of Portland cannot afford another 100 days of anarchy, so stop the nonsense now before the mob begins to attract more cause-of-the-month malcontents and morons.

Let's see what they do. I hope they get it right.
Shamefully, if I am honest, part of me would enjoy seeing another leftist city burn itself down. I am sorry that part of me feels that way.

I read yesterday that Portland has banned urinals, because women can't use them. Even if not quite actually/totally/whatever true, it's quite believable.
Sorry but I can't say that Portland hasn't chosen this. And maybe they do deserve to get it, good and hard.

President Cudd doesn't quite get it yet. Any student arrested at the library will be expelled.
