Saying What Our Bishops Are Afraid To Say

Harrison Butker is the place kicker for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs. He is also a Catholic and a husband, two things that the woke mob detests. He also just delivered the commencement address at Benedictine College, a small Catholic school in Atchison, Kansas that has really riled the woke mob. Why? Because he spoke the truths that our faith teaches. Here are a few of the (apparently) offensive things he said in that speech:

  • "Abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia as well as a growing support for degenerate cultural values and media all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder.”
  • “Our own nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith but at the same time is delusional enough to make the sign of the cross during a pro-abortion rally.”
  • “To the gentleman here today, part of what plagues our society is this lie that has been told to you that men are not necessary in the home or in our communities. As men, we set the tone of the culture. And when that is absent disorder, dysfunction and chaos set in this absence of men in the home is what plays a large role in the violence we see all around the nation.”

But what probably was most offensive to the woke feminists was this:

  • “I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you, how many of you are sitting here now about to cross the stage, and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you’re going to get in your career. Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world. But I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world. I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say that her life truly started when she began living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.”

On cue, the NFL has come out and distanced itself from Butker, saying that his views are not those of the NFL and that the NFL is committed to inclusion. This is the typical effeminate response expected from a liberal organization. The NFL is full of thugs, wife-beaters, serial sexual-harassment perpetrators, etc., etc.

Not to be outdone, change.org has started a petition to cancel Butker.

Praise God for men like Butker who are unafraid to speak the truth. Are you listening, American bishops?

We have too many "churches of nice" and we need the Catholic Church to knock that off and to start leading us back from the wickedness that permeates society.

Leave it to an engineering grad and a guy that kicks a ball between pipes to be the truthteller of our age. Ben Shapiro spent most of today's podcast on this speech. Ben found a *lot* to like.

The ignorance on display on Twitter is quite amazing - and as one has pointed out - this most likely stems from the fact that the two most prominent Catholic politicians in our country (Biden and Pelosi) are both pro-abortion and pro-LGBT and are allowed by the bishops to spew their nonsense without consequence.

Here are two good examples - I could go on and on posting these tweets but you get the picture.

Great comment Don. The Church of nice reaps what it sows. Wonderful to hear that Ben Shapiro was talking about this.
