The Last MSM Lie for Biden?

As of today, it appears to be the new (attempted) spin that Biden did not lie. Circumstances changed. He considered what was best for his family and he then changed his mind, which means he was sincere earlier when he said he would not issue a pardon for Hunter. Therefore, he did not lie. Sure.

Hunter will walk as he has done before. Leaving a bag of cocaine and a line of coke on the dashboard of a rental car was among his other notable adventures for which there were no consequences. The pardon is a natural part of his life process.

But what about all the government officials and media figures who were complicit in the coverups? The extraordinary degree of lying required to get Biden elected (Russiagate, Hunter’s laptop…) and then to defend his grossly defective presidency needs a severe accounting. People who sacrificed both personal honor and professional obligations should be treated as having done so.

Trump is continually guilty of breaching norms related to good manners and the gravitas due his office but Democrats and the expert/media/intellectualoid class that is now their true base have destroyed even the residual semblance of honor, trust and principled leadership. I don’t see how it is possible to begin to rebuild the rightful relationship between institutions and the people they are meant to serve without a lot of heads on pikes very soon. Accountability has to matter.

Susan MacDougal, Whitewater figure and herself a recipient of a presidential pardon, once remarked that the Clintons leave wreckage in their wake and bring down everyone around them. The Bidens may prove to be worse. But who knows? Republicans talk a good game when it comes to revenge but invariably find that comity is better for the business of serving well-established interests.

Accountability, not revenge. Remember the plea deal that Hunter was lined up to get? The one that ran into a judge honest and perceptive enough to say "hey, wait a minute?" The plea deal that gave blanket immunity for unspecified crimes, just like the pardon?

I want to know who wrote that. I want to know who signed off on it.

Biden is saying 'screw you' to the Dems for pushing him out of his rightful position of Potus. He put then in a real fix.

I wonder if the Dems think that with all the efforts they made to lie, cheat and steal, they are entitled to a win! Wouldn't surprise me...

The worse one's behavior, the greater the need to demonize adversaries. Totalitarian perverts really need to believe the other side is Hitler. Trump made them do bad things.

Republicans count coup. Democrats take scalps. Part of the reason the current circumstances exist.

Regarding the media reactions to the Biden pardon, well that's just entertainment. It's like watching the game Twister seeing the contortions. More popcorn.

The biggest "norm" Trump ever broke was that he interrupted the grip on power by Progressive and establishment types. Not any of these other gripes. So he's a bit of a carnival barker and a brash, playboy New Yorker. At this point I kinda say so what. There's more important things to contend with. You gotta have a priority list here. The social and professional stigma that Trump has been marinated in over the last 8 years might have just dried off with this last election. It's time to get to work.

I have more to say on this general topic later if I have time to write a post. It overlaps a bit with your post, but is a different angle.
