Trump was unfocused last time, and did not manage to drain the swamp (and much else besides).

But now he has an executive team of people who have achieved great things through leadership: Elon and Vivek chief among them. I think that, in hindsight, Trump may save America because he lost in 2020, only to win in 2024 with a mandate, and a deep hunger to get the job done. Destroying the Deep State, fixing elections, maximizing cheap energy, restoring pride in American culture and the entrepreneurial spirit.... so very much to get excited about!

This thought crossed my mind. But I'm not sure. It's never good to lose.

    I think.

But sometimes a setback can lead to good things.

I suspect that you may be right. I pray that you are.

We didn't know the half of the problems in 2020. Maybe we don't even now, but we do know much more.

The damage to the country in the last 4 years is immense. No.

They stole 2020 ( 20 million dem votes just vanished, Kamalas number are in line with Obama and Clinton).

I'll take it, but absolutely no.

I credit the modest turning point to be the VP Debate where J.D. Vance outclassed Tim "deer in the headlights" Walz by a mile. Trump's polling numbers began to slowly rise at that point and eventually erased his deficit against his empty-brained opponent. Normally, VP debates do not impress much, but this year we were limited to a single debate by the headliners where Trump's worst flaws were on display for all to absorb. And for some unknown reason, ever since the VP debate, Trump has kept his big yap shut from spewing all the expected rubbish that he is known for. I think even his tweets softened up. My wife attributes this to a dose of humility that set in after his assassination attempts. It only takes a few short weeks or months for many voters with short attention spans to forget the sins of the past.
