Today’s Firestorm and the Declaration
This post is prompted by the linked article from Imprimis, a free publication from Hillsdale College. It is strange to be posting this on some anniversary of J6, a day that has already died in calumny for all but some rabid and delusional Democrats. Imprimis has a nice article on some new documents released concerning the Russia Hoax for those who want to reflect on an actual (and somewhat successful) effort to negate the results of the 2016 election engineered by Obama and his cronies.
If you don’t know about Hillsdale, you should. Founded in 1844, they fiercely refuse to take any government funding; Christian, classical, rigorous and very influential in conservative thought. A number of SCOTUS clerks have been Hillsdale graduates through the years, and it generally has an outsized influence on conservative thought.
The article goes into some of the strange juxtapositions happening in this 250th anniversary of the Declaration. While not in the article, we have the phenomenon of the last few days of demonstrators flooding the streets of NYC to protest the capture and incarceration of Maduro, while the streets of Caracas are flooded with Venezuelans celebrating the same event. What do the Venezuelans know that the New Yorkers don’t?
Whoever was acting as president at the end of the last administration had a $25 million bounty on Maduro, but now it is a horror that Trump got him—I hope he can collect the bounty! In true Democrat fashion, here is Schumer in 2020 complaining that Trump wasn’t tough enough on him. Besides incompetence, the only firm Democrat characteristic is TDS.
The article is worth reading. It mentions that “… Churchill once said that national socialism and communism differ as the North Pole differs from the South. Many young people do not seem to realize that the North and South Poles are bad places to live.” Our colleges turn out a lot of truly confused young people … we desperately need more Hillsdales!
When human will becomes sovereign, unencumbered by nature and divorced from God, we are left with movements—people organized to impose their will on their adversaries. This is the terminal product of historicist philosophy and modern social science: the war, not of all against all, but of movement against movement.
Thankfully the leftward movement fails to realize that reproduction is quite important for the future of their movement.
Perhaps the ultimate Darwin Award winners?

Are you familiar with the red-green alliance? Commies and Islamists work together to destroy Western societies. One works from within the institutions and the other works from birthing center. Two paths on a long march.

...fascinating question...

I don't put any stock in what Schumer says. He exudes disingenuous. His speeches come across as totally contrived. He's a political animal.

Off my "X" feed - the difference over in Great Britain in criminal judgements and the resulting prison sentences between people posting on social media and the new arrivals actually harming people:

was not familiar with it, thanks.
I did a cursory search. Found it, but the birthing center connection didn't pop up for me. While "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" makes a lot of sense ... they are both rabidly anti-Christian and the Islamic wing is naturally going to have a lot of kids without any specific program.
I don't doubt such a program exists though.
