Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
There is one thing that really amazes me -- it's not corporate America's top-down lock-step craziness, not Trump's political and legal persecutions, not Global Warming, nor cancellation or de-banking; not the popular approval of restricting freedom of speech, the so-called Intelligence Community's anti-American machinations, or even those who propose the propriety and support the legality of killing babies at or after the moment of birth. The one thing that truly amazes me -- that it could ever happen -- is that people actually say and expect people to take them seriously that ... a man with a penis can be a woman, and the word "woman" can no longer be defined. And that this is accepted by a large portion of everyday Americans. The irrationality and the popularity of this truly blows my mind.
The closest I've come to any understanding of this is that current Leftist extremism is not a Marxist philosophy or a religion; it is a pathology. Mass Formation seems to me to be too vague; and things like, say, Munchausens-by-Proxy seem too specific. But the idea of bad parenting does seem to have something to do with it and seems to have an increasingly strong current cultural presence.
Recently, I saw an episode of DarkHorse. On it, guest Joshua Slocum describes the "Cluster B World" we're now living in. I think this makes the most sense. It is transmissible, it is delusional, it is malicious, it involves revenge and acting out, and it is already prevalent in society.
In 2008 I read an article by Sam Vaknin, a professor of psychology who in his article wrote that he was the world's greatest authority on Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). That he has Narcissistic Personality Disorder himself was added; with credentials like that I believed him — how could I go wrong? Anyway, he said that Obama had NPD, and that it was very dangerous to have a president with this disorder. Vaknin further suggested that every candidate should have mandatory psychological screening.
So, back then I read up on NPD. It supposedly has a prevalence of 1 out of 17 people in the US. That's a lot. I've noticed symptoms of this disorder in a few people I knew, and have read sporadically about it, sociopathies generally, and about Cluster B disorders in particular ever since. And though there is no real understanding of what causes most mental illnesses -- and this will possibly be controversial -- it seems to me that at least Cluster B and C sociopathies are both created and generational, but are neither genetic nor gestational.
They are akin to PTSD, but for toddlers: the result of great stresses in the family environment. These personality disorders or personality malformations are learned. In short, they are created. They are the result of dangerously dysfunctional parenting in early childhood development. This is why sociopaths -- or at least NPD sufferers -- are not distributed evenly through the population. They are often clustered, the children of demanding, controlling, or sociopathic parents. I am not an expert, and can't argue this point, but I do know off the top of my head, six sociopaths coming from two different families. And I have seen this pattern in others whom I know less well.
It seems to me that virtually every behavioral trait in every Cluster B sociopathy is represented in the progressive Left's followers. "Gaslighting," a term in much use today in a political context, was in common use then in 2008 for a major behavior of people with NPD. I encountered the word "triangulation" as a common behavior of NPDs, which essentially means to divide and conquer or to pit one against another -- another tactic used on a grand scale by the Left. The purpose of triangulation is to create discord — even chaos — in order to maintain control of others and to divert their interest and energies away from the one seeking to control them.
And NPDs lie so far as to distort reality; they invert reality: bad is good, good is bad. The Left does the same: Trump is an existential threat to the Constitution, though Biden has done more to subvert the Constitution than anyone, and yet is a protector of the republic. And a man is a woman. And some boys live life better after castration. And a young girl needs her breasts cut off to feel that she fits in.
People with NPD want control, and they see people not as individuals or even people but as sources of the approval they want: for NPDs, admiration; for politicians, votes.
NPDs create false narratives and false roles for people, insisting that others play the roles and fit the narrative they have created. And in this way, they also insist people follow their roles to further pit people against one another.
Some are Golden, some are Scapegoats, and everyone else is an approving audience or perhaps an accomplice. If you're Black you must vote for Biden. If you're gay, you must support trans-something. If you are from certain minorities you can pillage and burn and murder, and that's okay. And if you are an intruder you get gifts and the best seat at the table.
And if you object, and don't go along with the narrative, then you're definitely the Scapegoat.
It all fits.

There are essentially 3 separate groups of transexuals.
A tiny, steady number of little children, mainly boys. The vast majority of whom if left alone to figure things out will eventually identify as homosexual. Narcissistic moms are the greatest danger to these kids. they end up mutilated.
Teen age girls, the fastest growing cohort with several thousand percent growth, who suffer from a social contagion.
Teen girls have always been the most prone to these things. They enter puberty sooner, are uncomfortable with their bodies and what is happening to them feel vulnerable and thus prone to manias like bulimia, anorexia, cutting and in other cultures "demonic possession".
Finally a growing group of older men who have autogynephilia, get sexual pleasure from the idea that they are a woman. It's a paraphilia and this is why they get incensed if you refuse to play the game with them.

I assume that future generations will look back in horror of the things done to teenage girls today. But I am not confident in that assumption. These horrors are being led by today's medical associations. The last decade has been shameful for the medical/psychological professions. This "gender-mania" era is a part of today's neo-Maoism.

Who is this we? America, for example, is often referred to as multi-cultural. Is Cluster B prevalent in a particular cultural subset? Does it appear significantly in all cultures or just in what we call Western European?
I pose these questions without having viewed the complete podcast video provided.

Kozak, that's a pretty interesting graphic. However, those children aren't the ones who have any mental disorder. But this foisting of trans-sexuality upon toddlers is a perfect example, the tip of the iceberg, of a more general insanity. I was amazed at the public acceptance of something that is obviously not true. Truly this is the behavior of the sociopath: gaslighting and enforcing roles onto others for one's own egotistical reasons.
But the post wasn't intended to be about trans-anything, it was about those people who believe and advocate such behaviors, among others.
But saying any man can be a true woman is so fundamentally false that the population would have to have some serious derangement to believe it. And, yes, it seems like pubescent and adolescent girls are most susceptible to accepting this craziness, but what of their mothers? And sure, celebrities are highly narcissistic, but that's not the same as sociopathic. But do you think that there is any other explanation other than sociopathy for mothers doing to their children what these celebrities are doing?
And again, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
I guess what I'm getting at in the post is that the patterns of behavior of the Left are identical to the patterns present in some types of sociopaths; controlling, histrionic shouting, gaslighting, callous and nearly conscienceless, and advocating mutilation for their own egotistical pleasure is sadistic. Creating and enforcing false roles for others to follow for your own benefit is part of the sociopath's pattern, too.
I guess I accidentally cut out the part where I wrote that people (sociopaths) assign groups like women, Hispanics, Blacks, gays, etc. with specific characters and behaviors and force them to play out their roles, and they favor them, while turning other groups into a Scapegoat group. This is pretty classic NPD.
Anyway, it's more about something that Joshua Slocum and Bret Weinstein said, that the behaviors of Cluster B sociopaths have entered the general culture. And I think this is the best explanation for why half of America is that way it is.
