At some point in the past year, there was a post discussing Covid vaccine injuries.
I commented several times in the thread that there was no way the amount of vaccine injuries, and what the injuries were, could be determined because no one was asking the correct questions.
I recounted the experience that JY and I had with the medical community in Feb 2023 when he suffered a stroke.
Five days in the hospital with more medical professionals than I can count. Followed by many, many doctor visits (GP, cardiologists, neurologists, in three different states).
At no point, and I mean NOT ONCE was an inquiry made on JY’s Covid vaccine status.
I was assured over and over by a couple of commenters that no inquiry was made, because OF COURSE, JY’s status would be known to all the professionals treating him. Which I knew was nonsense and opined that they aren’t asking the question because they literally don’t want to know the answer

That’s a difficult task when a patient may be tested for Covid at Walgreens, get vaccinated at CVS, go to a local clinic for minor ailments and seek care at a hospital for serious conditions. Each place may rely on different health record systems.
There is no central repository of vaccine recipients, nor of medical records, and no easy to way to pool these data. Reports to the largest federal database of so-called adverse events can be made by anyone, about anything. It’s not even clear what officials should be looking for.
PS. Note the editorializing : “very rare”. Who knows ?

I hope JY has recovered fully.
Since it wouldn't matter as to treatment I can see why they would not even ask about vaccination status. It would just raise questions to which they would have no answer.
The best place to uncover any potential harm would be in the large randomized clinical trials which understandably but unfortunately were cut short so its hard to really know.
This is a very good point. Does "very rare" mean 1 in 1000 or 1 in 100000?
Same with the mostly mild cardititis that occurred young people. How often is it serious cardititis? How much heart damage is "mild". Is it permanent? Not a lot of good info and most of it is coming from Europe.
What is also an acceptable level of risk is also very subjective.

You’re making a different point. My point is that they don’t even know if it’s 1 in 1,000 or 1 in 10,000.
