Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
When Trump shut the border and let ICE do its job, I expected a continuous stream of moving stories about carefully selected sympathetic illegal immigrants. But illegal immigration seems like old news because Trump commits another outrage against the leftosphere every day. The left no longer has time to craft, hone and enforce a narrative because the news cycle is moving at a Trumpian pace.
We should have had stories about the economic downside of tariffs, but Canada and Mexico quickly made deals before “expert” comments could be solicited.
The public response to the no boys in girls sports order (80% in favor) made the usual hate-crime rhetoric useless.
Not only are Trump’s moves exactly what he promised and uniformly popular but their sheer volume has overwhelmed the opposition’s old model. Like the Maginot Line, the MSM-social media-NGO-Democratic Party apparatus needs both time and a RINO-like opponent that will flinch or even cringe when attacked. Trump, Vance and the new appointees are not only not flinching but they are openly laughing at the usual hostile questioners on air and in the Senate. And the old MSM is dissolving in financial crises, losing its echo chambers as well as the power to silence dissident ideas, all at the same time.
The delightfully pathetic clip of charisma-challenged Chuck Schumer being laughed at by a CNN panel(!!) for trying to inspire a small crowd with chants of “We will win” is almost diagnostic of the left’s current state. Reduced to defending illegal alien rapists, boys winning girls' sports, John Brennan’s security clearance, job security for politicized employees in the DOJ, and FBI and USAID funding for LGBTQ street puppet theater in the Third World, all without even a chance to craft a timely counter-narrative for the hive mind on any issue, must feel like rock bottom. Let’s hope it continues to get worse for them.

Have some compassion, OB. They're looking for a leader.

Trump does have a gift for keeping pressure on his opponent.
He has the will of the people on his side, he knows it, and he's going to keep hammering that point.
Why would he stop?

Four years of this would be exhausting if exhilarating. Making more popcorn.

It's kinda hard to find sympathetic illegal aliens when They are all waving Mexico's flag.
