Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.
For anyone who's had their head in the sand for the past day, James Comey (former Director of the FBI) posted a cute little arrangement of seashells that playfully call for the 86-ing of number 47. Amusingly, Big Jim claims he just came across the innocent but artful jumble while walking innocently on the beach. He has no idea what it might mean, of course, so what could he do but post it? Isn't nature clever to arrange these shells just so?
The Tall Twee One is an obvious and clumsy liar, but set that aside for a minute. Two things here are worth noting. One, that picture is rather difficult to find, only one day after he posted it. None of the MSM sites are showing it. Go check a few. Isn't that curious? Why would honest journalists (there aren't any other kinds) write about the controversy and fail to include the image that's at the heart of it? So many questions.
The other thing I noticed was a claim that the shell-o-gram was a reference to 9/11/2001 - that the attacks occurred 8,647 days ago. That's easy to check, so I did. Grok gave me a detailed calculation that I won't reprint here (you can ask for it), but the number of days from 9/11/2001 to the day of Tweetop's post (5/15/2025) is 9,012. So that claim is dumb. Ridiculous. I mean, look how big the error is: 9,012 minus 8,647 is ... uh, oh, it's 365.
What do you want to bet that Tall Boy missed a year in his arithmetic? If so, that implies some real planning. Dumb, like you'd expect, but real. It's too much to hope for, but I'd love to see this doofus doing a stretch in a federal pen.
Later: False alarm! Grok added a year. I did the total by hand and got 8,647. All I asked the stupid thing for was "How many days since September 11, 2001?" and I can't even trust it for that.
From 9/11/2001 to 12/31/2001: 19+31+30+31 = 111
From 12/31/2001 to 12/31/2024: 23*365 + 6 = 8401
From 12/31/2024 to 5/15/2025: 31+28+31+30+15 = 135
111 + 8401 + 135 = 8647

It looks more like S6 47 to me. Most likely a commemoration of the birthday of Jane "You ignorant slut" Curtin.

Oh, stop! It hurts! Whoo! Haven't laughed so hard since I heard that Joe Biden was sharp as a tack.

Excel's math function gave me the 8647 day count. So if it's wrong, I blame Microsoft.

You and Excel are correct. I just got thru the update above. My fault, I trusted the tech.

Thanks.
My personal opinion is that it's a troll.
