Failed Coup?

Fun read at City Journal by a former diplomat comparing the current coup to dump Biden to political coups he witnessed serving as a US diplomat in Africa: What Do you Do with a Failed Coup? by Dave Seminara. Concluding comment:

The media thought that they could take Biden down, but it’s becoming clear that he’s not stepping down just because armies of polyamorous, Brooklyn-dwelling sub-editors have soured on him. The question now is: In the wake of their failed coup attempt, how will the media go back to shilling for Biden? It seems like an impossible pivot, but somehow I’m confident that the same lying, dog-faced pony soldiers who told us the president was as sharp as a tack will return to business as usual. That is to say, after a brief hiatus, they will go back to promoting the perceived interests of the Democratic Party, hoping that voters forget all the mean things they said about Joe Biden during the brief, heady days when it looked like the coup was on.

Apparently, Joe thinks Trump is beatable and that he can weather this intra-party assault, after which these herd animals will have no choice but to rejoin him and again rev up the "most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics." Trump's fixed support ceiling and Democratic machine power means the Dems are never out of it. Joe and Donald are each still the only guy the other one is likely to be able to beat.

If Biden does not decline even more over the next 39 days and muscles his way to controlling enough of his delegates, the coup is over. In the alternative, the leaders of the coup might pretend fealty, let him get the nomination, then find the political equivalent of a John Wilkes Booth moment after which the party leaders can pick the replacements without tiresome input from pledge-bound elected delegates. But that is a stretch. Even the likes of Claus von Staffenberg and Sidney Reilly failed to change leadership and the Dems don't have anyone of that caliber on their roster.

The Ruthless Podcast boys are predicting a comeback kid storyline. That does seem to be a favorite storyline for the media. Get Biden to the convention and go with, look how he's turned things around. Joe's the comeback kid.

The IC had successful coups against Nixon and Trump. They like someone like Biden, so they aren't working this one. They are trying to return to the Russian Collusion Hoax and warning about Russia interfering in the election.

Putin made us believe that Biden was declining just to help elect Trump. Sources indicate that it may have been the the work of the same specialized FSB section that authored the Hunter Biden laptop. [Note "Putin" here refers to the Russian guy not the president of Ukraine as introduced the other day.]

And watch for the Fed to cut interest rates just in time for the election; spawning a phony-baloney stock market rally that, in an effort to blunt one of Trump's strongest talking-points, they will to use to boast that our economy is the "envy of the world" and "the greatest economy in U.S. history"
