This week's episode expands the format to include a guest appearance by environmental scientist Ken Green, who recently joined the ranks of contributors to Steve's "Political Questions" Substack (sign up for free if you haven't already), where this week he celebrates the demise of the "Endangerment Finding" that derives from the Statute-That-Cannot-Be-Named in John Yoo's presence. But along the way Ken raised an eyebrow for certain enthusiasms of the MAHA movement, which in turn raised the eyebrows of a certain "Lucretia," so we decided to let then havie out a bit.
The result of one of our livelier episode ever, where discussion of "junk food" and other aspects of America's nitrition was conducted against the background noise of John Yoo munching on a bag of Cheetos.
We also have brief considerations of the proposal for a mid-decade census, and the fuss over Gerrymandering in Texas and elsewhere.
Hosted by John Yoo,
'Lucretia', and
Steve Hayward, with guest
Ken Green

Everything we have been told about nutrition in our lifetimes has been wrong, often wrong multiple times.
Scott Adams has remarked multiple times in his daily livestreamed podcast that it is obvious from the publicly available information that Obama, Biden, Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Rosenberg, McCabe et al. attempted the overthrow of the United States government. He has also referred to the conspiracy as an attempted coup. I offer this as a credible assessment of the facts.
More recently, Scott Adams has remarked that because the coup plot is complicated, the public will lose interest entirely unless there are arrests and prosecutions. Even more recently, Scott Adams observed that due to the impressive and methodical release of information by Tulsi Gabbard and John Ratcliffe, it is now mainstream to believe that high ranking officials - including those named supra - might legitimately be arrested and charged with crimes.
Donald Trump is aware of and listens to Scott Adams.
The Three Whisky Happy Hour talked about nutrition. I don't know if Donald Trump listens to the Three Whisky Happy Hour.
And oh yeah - Andrew McCarthy of National Review assures us that the FBI and DoJ are filled top to bottom with rock-ribbed, straight-shooting, standup lawmen, each one dedicated to the impartial application of the rule of law.

By now it should be clear that the food pyramids, like the pyramids of ancient Egypt, were constructed by aliens.

For 40 years saturated fats were the boogeyman of dietary recommendations. Meats and dairy were discouraged, and dietary protein fell. Seed oils, much cheaper anyway, were added back to processed foods for flavor. Are seed oils somehow worse than animal fats? Probably not. At least not much. But that's only if they're compared one to one, and the food industry doesn't substitute them one for one at scale.

John is impressed at how rapidly a poorly tested gene therapy was developed for COVID. A friend died the day she got the second shot. It was neither safe nor effective. Even if was safe, the six plus months from formulation to use meant that the virus will have mutated and it won’t be effective.
