Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.

By popular demand we're bringing "Lucretia," Power Line's International Woman of Mystery, back to the show, and we've decided to start our own "Three Whisky Happy Hour," because why should Greg Corombos and Jim Geraghty have all the fun (and the booze) with their Three Martini Lunch. As Lucretia is a champion whisky drinker, we decided to offer up American bourbon, Scotch (the more bracing Islay and Highland single malts), and Irish (sweeter) whisky varieties to match up with the crazy, outrageous, and sweet stories of the moment—in today's case, more egregious cancelings, the Redskins' capitulation, and the overdue arrest of Ghislaine Maxwell, and what we think the sequel is likely to be besides six more months of Jeffrey Epstein memes.
This inaugural episode ends with some cooking and drinking tips for the July 4 holiday, including the best way to annoy your nearest climate change fanatic. (Hint: It involves grilling.)

Toward the end of the podcast Lucretia described a marinate she used on ribeye stakes. The details (specifically the quantities of the various ingredients) were unspecified. I found a recipe that appears to be a decent match here. This recipe also includes Lucretia's suggestion to create a sauce from the marinate.
Lucretia said she would make a sauce from the used marinate and added butter to the marinate before reducing. I approve of this because adding butter will add body to the resulting sauce. I didn't approve of Lucretia stated practice of using two sticks of butter; I think more than about 1/2 stick of butter to be overkill.
Lucretia's Ribeye Marinate:
1 Can Guinness Stout Beer 4 Garlic Cloves 1/2 Cup Soy Sauce 1 Small Vidalia Onion 2 Shallots 4 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce 3 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard 1 Tablespoon Fresh Tarragon 2 Tablespoon Fresh Parsley 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper 1 Teaspoon Salt
Finely chop shallot, garlic and onion and place in a mixing bowl. Finely chop parsley and tarragon, add to bowl. Add Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, Guinness beer, soy sauce and seasonings then mix well to combine. Let stand for 30 minutes to marry flavors. Add seasoned steaks to a sealable container or large ziplock bags marinate overnight. Once you have finished marinating, place the remaining marinade in a small saucepan (add the butter here) and reduce it until slightly thickened. Use the reduced marinade as a sauce for finished steaks.

The NFL is suicidal. The Washington Foreskins is perfect and I can cheer for that team now that the 49ers have decided it was a wise choice to fly the BLM Flag next to and at the same height as the US flag at Levi Stadium....just what we need. The NBA takes a knee to the ChiComs (by the way the 'monitors' at the Wall St Journal will NOT allow 'ChiCom' in their Online Comment section! ---The WSJ is going full FaceBook and Twitter....they will not allow even a Biblical quote that contained the word 'sodomy'...) and the San Francisco 49ers Franchise thinks it's swell to pay obeisance to the Marxist inspired BLM. (By the way...I also mentioned the founders of the BLM bragging about their Marxist training and it was initially printed in the WSJ but it was shortly afterwards taken down.)
It's amazing what a cowardly, supine product their Comment section is becoming in the Journal.
Thank God for Ricochet!
Imagine what will happen if the 49ers ever decided to TAKE DOWN the BLM Flag now that it's been flown? San Francisco to Santa Clara will become cinders...

Great podcast Steve and Lucretia! I thought everyone knew the Redskin song but I guess that just shows you that I grew up in the DC area. The song is totally non-PC but we won't have to worry since no one will ever hear it again. Looking forward to the 3 Whiskey Happy Hour but don't you have to pay Geraghty and Corombus something?

Some tribe could make a billion dollars licensing its name to the Washington team and sharing in all the merchandising.
