Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.

The Three Whisky Happy Hour gang is finally all back in the U.S. after weeks of galavanting overseas, and boy is there a lot to catch up on. Among our topics this week are the signs and wonders that the Age of Trump is fully established; the Biden pardons; the farcical Penny trial; whether World War III is indeed under way, and the attempted coup in Korea, about which our resident Korea expert (and resident Korean!) John Yoo has lots of thoughts.
Along the way some fresh new insults are thrown around, with John leveling the ultimate low blow against Steve—calling him a Hegelian! Thems is fightin' words!

Re: gavel bonking, Lucretia, you're overthinking it. Bonking people on the head is inherently funny. Seeing the dignified members of the supreme court doing something silly is also funny. And the fact that we've got a pretty good idea as to which justice was on the wrong side of that 8-1 split tops it off.

now all that remains is the civil suit from the man who abandoned Jordan Neely while he was a small child.

At ~0:30:00 of the podcast, as John Yoo was describing the Korean women's sex strike campaign, Steve appropriately chimed in with a (Yiddish-sounding) guttural "eccch" (yecch? ugh? yeucch?) to express disgust.
It was a worthy effort, but nothing like one of Lucretia's.
Even casual, non-groupie listeners of the Three Whisky Happy Hour podcast have remarked that Lucretia really effectively punctuates her rants about some repulsiveness or other when she hammers home the disgust with her signature "ecch!" It then occurred to me we've not heard many of those from Lucretia lately. A consequence of post-election euphoria, perhaps?
