They also fume over the ongoing dearth of coverage of the approximately 10 American hostages still held by Hamas nearly a month after the attack. And now we also learn that Hamas refuses to let some 600 American residents leave Gaza without major concessions. Why are media outlets so quiet about these Americans held against their will?

Finally, they look ahead to next week's off-year elections in several states and wonder whether Democrats can win talking almost exclusively about abortion and when Republicans will start defending their positions more effectively.
