Reddi Whip: real cream ejected from a can
Cool Whip: synthetic petroleum byproduct, scooped out of a tub

If I recall correctly @DeanMurphy learned Esperanto. I think it was part of a fraternity prank.

T.C.: Thank you for this comment! I subscribed to Ricochet today just to address this outrageous historical oversight. Then, again, it's not even an historical reference as both products are still sold today. As you mentioned, Reddi Whip contains, among other things, real cream in a can that includes a gas propellant while Cool Whip, glopped onto its food target by means of an inert spoon, can only get someone high if the chemicals somehow adversely react with the liver or kidneys of the consumer. What I remember most about the days my mom inadvisedly inflicted Cool Whip on my family was the oil sheen it left on the surface of hot chocolate, a slick most conveniently covered by a goodly number of mini marshmallows serving in an emergency haz mat response role.
