I haven't listened to this episode yet, but know that I will. It was heartwarming to see the outpouring of love and knowledge of Lilek's career at the Minneapolis paper of record and his many fans across the Twittersphere. I'm not alone in my sycophancy. James, you are a legend.

Many thanks, David! That means a lot. And yes, the response was heartening. No one said anything at the Diner, though - there are more interesting things to discuss, like the fact that the mummified frog in the rock was, in fact, a fraud.

I think, in honor of after school specials, I would name that sandwich The Robbie Benson.

Funny thing about that sandwich of yours. You see, I was eating at a diner in Spokane when I sent my toast back for the third time because they hadn't browned it right. Furious, the cook put some butter, peanut butter (extra chunky, because merely chunky wasn't chunky enough) and honey into a sandwich, fried it, and sent it out to me. I loved it! We called it the fabulist, because it's the most fabulist sandwich there is.
