    I wasn't meaning to all you three members of the Establishment. I was wanting to explain to you why folks like me are completely fed up with the DC GOP (Establishment, Leadership, whatever in the world it is).

    As always, I look forward to this week's Podcast. Oh and it is much better when the three of you are together. I like the fill-ins but Real Coke is much better than New Coke.

    Its not that deal-making is wrong; its that the time for deal-making is past. This siege warfare. Its going to suck but we have to starve them out. The wold is a different place 6 months into a shutdown than 2 weeks into a shutdown.

    I used to teach a course called "Economics of Justice." I assigned Dr. Sowell's book, "Economic Facts and Fallacies" which, by the way, the students loved, and I highly recommend it to all of you.

    Two of many questions on the final exam I asked them were these:

    1. Thomas Sowell is

    a. White

    b. Black

    c. No way to know

    2. Thomas Sowell is

    a. Probably about 35 years old

    b. Probably about 70 or 80 years old.

    c. No way to know

    A significant number of them would answer "c" for both questions.

    Edit:

    They would have known the correct answers if they had visited Dr. Sowell's website, as they were assigned to do. His picture is there.
