James, Steve, and Charles are back for a new year that seems determined to outdo its predecessor. Lileks reports from the Twin Cities, a site dead set on being the epicenter of American chaos. Then the fellas step out of the Minnesota cold to warm their bones by the fire of collectivism. And they round it all out with a chat about the ever-surprising Don Doctrine, which put an end to one tyrant last week and has many wondering what it could mean for Iran.

Hosts:
•Charles C. W. Cooke•James Lileks•Steve Hayward

James, I don't recall any actress other than the "Big Mouth", Martha Ray, plugging denture cleanser.

But the lowest low I recall in faded actress marketing was June Allyson for adult diapers!

She had a good ten year--apparently leak-proof--run in bladder control!

It is preposterous that the government produces so many non-public goods.

They forced us to use government money and then they inflate it away. You can't get a decent rate on a savings account. You better get raises or you're going to become a socialist or populist. Pretty stupid system.

Schools are not a public good. It was ridiculous watching the Minneapolis communist teachers ranting about ICE yesterday.

I remember Shari Lewis and Lambchop. In a serious vein, I think that Steve has it right about arresting demonstrators blocking passage on significant streets and highways. Lock 'em up and throw away the key.
