"Casting me adrift, 2,500 miles from a port of call? You're sending me to my doom, eh? Well you're wrong, Christian. I'll take this boat as she floats to India if I must. I'll live to see you--all of ya--hanging from the highest yardarm in the British fleet."

    Assorted Thoughts:

1.) reinstating a draft with a modern military seems unwise to me, but I begin to think there might be some value in reducing the scope of the standing army and relying far more on guard and reserve units that are not immediately at the disposal of the US Government. Get as close back to the civic militia as we can. Should do a post on that some time...

2.) As a University of Kentucky Graduate I'd like to take umbrage at the description of the Political Science Faculty, but for some of them... yeah, the umbrage would be dishonest. Though some of them were also pretty good.

I love the crazy mix em up podcasts. Really nice change of pace. Listening to these has made feel a lot like the way I felt when Estelle Getty showed up on Empty Nest.
