Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.

With Congress missing in action, the two active branches of our federal government are at it again, and the temperature rises by the minute. Caught in the crosshairs are the increasingly exasperated American people and our numerous non-citizens, most notably Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Jason Willick joins today to argue that our partisan impulses are blinding team red and team blue to both the legal and the political stakes before us.
Plus, Messrs. Lileks & Hayward talk Harvard's funding freeze and why they had it coming.

Is it just me? But doesn't "Maryland Man" sound like a fantastic name for a crime thriller? Maybe an undercover gangster leading a double life ... In a quiet suburb with an unsuspecting wife and kids - doing weekend costco runs, etc... But then at "work" he's running drug smugglers, prostitutes, arranging hits... You know a Soprano/Walter Mitty.

Or Marathon Man.
Well done between Jason and James stressing the legal vs political. The legal part goes unenforced for four years which leads to a practical solution that is facially illegal. Unless congress somehow does its job.
I don't really want congress to be a few hundred screamers shouting "string em up" but it would be great to have a majority who see themselves serving Americans, not foreigners.

The false reporting about Biden's decline was not a "failure" to be honest. That was never their goal. The press, in their eyes, failed because Trump was elected.
As for the courts, they are earning the contempt against them.
