Sometimes our topsy-turvy world is more dizzying than usual—and in those times, it's best to stand on a firm foundation and in the company of dependable people. Rob Long returns to chat with Charles and Steve about controversies of all shapes, sizes and degrees of comprehensibility—from Bo French and the "NETTR" movement, a Republican admin talking about buying votes with $5,000 checks and a prudish left shocked by the... apolitical appeal of Sidney Sweeney.

CCC said "Kari Lake is a kook." She would have been governor in AZ, if she had not criticized the McCain machine. That is was bad political strategy, but principled and not kooky.

I disagree that tariffs are a significant cause of inflation. The global war on diesel is the primary problem. Between anti-refinery operations in Russia, Iran, Ukraine, California and Illinois there is a shortage of diesel outside of the USA that is causing record high prices in the USA. Stopping exports of diesel temporary would solve the problem in the USA.

Charles is being kind. The only other reasonable explanation is that she’s a con artist. Your “principled” wannabe governor made a lot of allegations after her loss, got sued for it, and when pressed to back it up in court she folded like a cheap lawn chair. Her role in the Trump Administration didn’t need Senate confirmation until Trump proposed making her Ambassador to Jamaica. The Senate may confirm her just to get her out of the country.

Personally, I find cheap lawn chairs among the most difficult to fold... 🤣
