Debates and Decisions

Subscribe to The Ricochet PodcastSubscribe

Whoever decided to place a presidential debate smack dab in the middle of the Supreme Court's decision calendar was either crazy or a genius. It not only gives us plenty to talk about but it gives a certain podcaster the rare opportunity to praise Donald Trump (Yes, really.)

The Powerline men, John Yoo and Steve Hayward join Rob and Peter to review the debate and parse the thinking of the high court.

Hosted by Peter Robinson, Rob Long, and Steve Hayward, with guest JYJohn Yoo

And sitting in for James Lileks this week, is Peter Robinson.

Nice try Steve. But as Vice President, Harris could change her state of residency very easily.

If she were still a Senator, along with Newsome being Governor of the same state, then yes it would be problematic. To change state of residency would require a resignation.

Yeah, I suppose that is possible, but I think it would strike many voters as a cute gimmick.

At least people now know that Peter Robinson and I are in fact not the same person. (There had been some speculation about this.)

It would be a gimmick but not one that Harris would think twice about
