Tired of the toxicity of social media? Why not join Ricochet for just $5/month? Think of it as an online bar. Come in, have a drink, hang out, say whatever you want. But don’t badger, bully, or berate the other drinkers. That's our only rule.

James, Steve, and Charles reconvene after an Independence Day break to catch up over some thoughts on the One Big, Beautiful Bill, Ketanji Brown Jackson's professional disorientation, and the latest dead end on getting to the truth about the twisted villain Jeffrey Epstein. The trio also discusses the newest superhero would-be-blockbuster that's betting on subverting viewer expectations, and James tells us about his own recent crime-fighting adventure...
Sound clip from this week's open: Trump dismisses question about that Epstein creep.

This new Superman movie is far from "new," there was an "illegal immigrant" reference back in the "Lois & Clark" series.

Charles, what's the issue? Show your sons the Christopher Reeve movies.

James, "Superman was a blank slate?" What I remember is, at least in the Christopher Reeve movies, he was being taught by mostly his father, via recordings and possibly AI, for years on the way to Earth. It's entirely possible that Jor El had it set up for him to arrive in Middle America, rather than Middle Russia or something.
And his education by Jor-El etc continued for another 12 years at the Fortress of Solitude.

I liked what Jesse Watters said about KBJ, "Bench-slapped."
