Subscribe to Heard at HeritageSubscribe

Since mid-March Congress, the administration, and state governors all took exceptional actions to curb the spread of COVID-19, a respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus that originated in China. Restrictions aimed at enforcing social distancing to curb the spread of COVID-19 have led to stay-at-home orders and the temporary closure of schools, universities, and businesses deemed non-essential, with the economy experiencing a steep and sudden downturn as unemployment rolls are swelling. Join Heritage Foundation experts for a timely conversation on how COVID-19 is impacting the U.S. economy, which policies are helping and which are hurting, and what's next for facilitating an economic recovery after the public health crisis is contained.
