An all-over-the-place GLoP for mid-summer: we've got some Rank Punditry® about changes past and possibly future at the top of ticket, some discourse about -yes-- cupholders in cars, a little Columbo, some thoughts about The Outsiders and it's various incarnations in different media, that time Jeff Goldblum played a NYC mugger, The Warriors, and of course, Rob remembers the late, great Bob Newhart. Also, any interest in a live GLoP? Let us know.

Rob, Jonah, and JPod hate Vance because he doesn’t view Ukraine as America’s number one priority. The overreaction by JPod is so telling. Most people don’t even know who Vance is and the thought that some voters who were going to vote for Trump and see Vance’s cat lady quote and now don’t want to vote Trump strains credulity.

Also loved Jonah’s unfunny straw man that neocons might get us into a nuclear war is the perfect logical end to broken windows theory. Jonah, who had Danial Hannon on his podcast and openly discussed what regime change in Moscow would look like. Well, Jonah, regime change in Moscow could most likely lead to a nuclear conflagration.

It is entertaining to see their ideological points masqueraded as substantive analysis.

Yep. Three guys who get politics wrong. I'm here for the culture talk. Make with the funny, monkey boys.

People were quote tweeting Jonah into my timeline recently. I forget the topic, but he was so wrong and people were taking him to task.

Too bad DNewlander still isn't around to set John right on the coffee case. It happened in Albuquerque and Dylan liked to set people straight. She was a passenger, not the driver. The car didn't have cup holders, but her grandson parked so she could add cream and sugar. That's when it spilled. She wanted to settle for a small amount, but McDonalds declined and she filed a lawsuit. The jury awarded a large amount, the judge reduced it, and they settled for an undisclosed amount. Rob's friend probably did make good points.
