It's GLoPtober and that can only mean one thing: the men of GLoP (that's Jonah Goldberg, Rob Long, and John Podhoretz) are back with another tour through politics and pop culture. This week, does winning the Senate really matter?; Is Boyhood a conservative movie even though it takes potshots at Republicans and religion?; the icky use of babies on Homeland; What's the deal with Gone Girl?; Is Adam Sandler a Hollywood disrupter or just a fading star looking for one last deal?; Will Interstellar soar among the stars or crash land in a sea of environmental metaphors?; And what's Jonah's favorite reality show? Hint: it's got lots of pixellation.

Note: The men of GLoP hereby forgive EJHill for all past transgressions as thanks for this extremely accurate representation of their actual physical appearance.

Regarding the baby in the bathtub scene on Homeland, a similar scene appears in the Joy Luck Club, only it's even more disturbing because, in that movie, the baby stays under. It was horrific. I gasped in the movie theater, so I'm really glad I didn't have to see almost the same thing on TV. Also, I'm kind of surprised Jonah didn't make the point he has made before--and that I made to a friend who was just yesterday telling me about the scene in Homeland--why didn't she just have an abortion? Because abortion never happens in the movies or on TV (unless, of course, abortion is the subject).
